Cheerleading, Gymnastics, and Tumbling Classes in Salisbury, Wiltshire

Phoenix Stars offers a wide array of cheerleading, gymnastics, and tumbling classes. Based in our gym in Salisbury, Wiltshire, we welcome athletes and gymnasts who are interested in training in various disciplines and even competing alongside fellow club members. Cheerleading

We opened our first cheerleading team with 27 athletes at a local primary school in 2012. Forming two squads, we attended our first competition in 2013 and since then, we have grown from strength to strength. In 2015, we moved into our own gymnasium in the Centurion Centre at Castlegate Business Park.

Our club now has ten times more members, and in July 2023, we took in more than 100 new athletes. Squads range from Novice level to World Championship standards, and our membership ranges in age from 4-year-old school-starters to adults.

Cheerleading Tryouts

Held annually every July, tryouts are an opportunity for your child to try cheerleading not an audition although we reserve the right to refuse entry once we reach capacity. Athletes attend competitions all across the UK and sometimes overseas, and we expect all athletes to stay for the entire season. There is a huge commitment involved in cheerleading and we therefore ask that you bear this in mind before enrolling your child.

Gymnastics

Since opening in September 2023, our gymnastics club has already attracted 150 gymnasts. Our fixed gymnasium enables us to train gymnasts on all pieces of apparatus each week. All classes are small, with no more than 8 gymnasts per coach, and all coaches are qualified with British Gymnastics.

We currently have places available for gymnastics training from Monday to Wednesday, and we hope to add training days on Thursdays.

Parkour

Phoenix Stars also introduced a parkour club in late September 2023. We already have some very loyal parkour enthusiasts, and we are gradually building up a great club, which will offer grading in due course. You can sign up for classes via the Team Up app at the link below.

Tumbling

Initially included as a discipline in our cheerleading classes, tumbling has taken on a life of its own. Popular with cheerleaders and gymnasts alike, tumbling classes are available in two drop-in sessions on Saturdays:

Junior Tumble (for Primary School Children) – 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.
Senior Tumble (for Secondary School and Upwards) – 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Tumbling Classes

Toddler Classes

Running every Tuesday and Thursday in term-time, our toddler classes are suitable for early walkers and school-age children where parents stay and play with them. There is no need to book for toddler classes and you can pay for sessions via cash or card.

Safe and Affordable Classes

We conduct all cheerleading, gymnastics, and tumbling classes in a safe, friendly environment.
